The Israeli Armed Forces have reported Monday that they have bombarded several “terrorist objectives” of the Hutíes in the port of Hodeida and their vicinity in response to the projectile launch since Yemen, the last of which caused six minor injuries on Sunday at the Ben Gurion International Airport, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
“Combat aircraft have attacked terrorist infrastructure of the Hutí regime,” the Israeli Armed Forces have reported in a statement. Some 20 fighters participated in this offensive in which they launched a total of 50 projectiles.
“The attack has been carried out in response to the repeated attacks of the Hutí regime against the state of Israel, in which Earth-Tierra missiles and aerial vehicles not manned against the territory of the country and its citizens,” they have argued.
In particular, they point out the importance of the port of Hodeida as “source of income for the Hutí regime.” “The Hodeida sea port is used for the transport of Iranian weapons, military equipment and other terrorist supplies,” they said.
In addition, they have attacked the low concrete factory, east of the city of Hodeida, “an important economic resource for the Hutí terrorist regime, used to build military tunnels and infrastructure.”
Israel argues that the Hutis have been operating under the direction and financing of Iran “during the last year and a half to harm Israel and its allies, undermine the regional order and disturb the freedom of global navigation”, in reference to the attacks against Israeli ships or linked to Israel that pass through the important maritime route that surrounds Yemen.
“Israel’s defense forces are determined to continue acting and attacked with forcefulness to anyone who represents a threat to residents and citizens of the state of Israel, at any distance that is necessary,” the Israeli armed forces highlighted, which put in value that the bombed objectives were located more than 2,000 kilometers from the Israeli soil.
This is the sixth Israeli attack in Yemen since the beginning of the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip, the first since January. This pause is mainly due to US intervention, which has bombarded Hutis repeatedly in recent months.
