MADRID 7 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Army of Israel announced on Wednesday the death of Jalid Ahmad Ahmad, head of operations of the Western Brigade of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Lebanon, in a new attack perpetrated in the neighboring country, where they have previously carried out another attack in which a leader of the Lebanese Mile Party Hezbollah has died.
The Israeli forces have indicated that Ahmad has died within the framework of a last attack perpetrated against the city of Sidon and explained that the commander was responsible for “numerous terrorist attacks against civilians and troops from Israel.” “Recently, he had carried out smuggling activities and carried out attacks against the state of Israel,” he said.
For his part, Hamas has confirmed his death in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, where the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the death of another man, also in an attack against a vehicle that circulated in Sidon.
“Ahmed’s activities constituted a threat to the state of Israel and its citizens. The IDF will continue to act against Hamas’s terrorists wherever they operate,” said the army.
