The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, perceives that his American counterpart, Donald Trump, sees the situation in his country “in another way” after the encounter that both held in the Vatican during the funeral of Pope Francis last week.
“I am sure that, after our meeting in the Vatican, President Trump has begun to see things differently, but we are going to see what happens, because it is his decision, in any case. I think we have behaved in a constructive and decent way,” he said in statements collected by the Ukrainian Ukrinform agency.
Since their meeting in the Vatican, the US and Ukraine have signed an agreement to establish an investment fund for reconstruction and includes that the US part can take advantage of the Ukrainian mineral resources, pending ratification by the Supreme Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament.
In addition, Trump has expressed serious doubts about the will of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, to achieve a end -dialogue ending. After weeks applauding the direct approaches held with the Russians, the US president moved in public his suspicion that Putin was “giving long.”

“A high unconditional fire is the model proposed by the Americans. We are following it. From this date or another, preferably before. Yes, let’s try for 30 days. Why a high fire of 30 days? Because it is impossible to agree anything in three, five or seven,” Zelenski added.
