The EU has defended this Monday that Russia would lose strength in her offensive against Ukraine without the support of China on the eve of the visit of President Xi Jinping to Moscow to go to the commemorative parade of the Soviet victory in World war II and hold high -level conversations with her Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
“China remains a key facilitator in the continuous war of aggression of Russia, so without the support of China, Russia could not continue its war of aggression against Ukraine with the same force,” said the community spokeswoman for security spokesman, Anitta Hipper.
This has been indicated in response to the announcement of Xi Jinping’s visit, which will last from May 7 to 10, as confirmed by the Kremlin press service in a statement.
The spokeswoman also recalled that “China is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, so it also has the responsibility of defending the United Nations Charter and the international order.”
It is hoped that the Ukraine War occupies a predominant place, since the country’s Russian invasion has revealed certain differences between China and Russia, on the other hand large regional allies.
Beijing has kept a neutral position in this regard but has also expressed its discomfort for the invasion when considering that it is treated against an attack against the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
