Nicaraguan authorities, through a statement, denounced on Tuesday that Israel reported their intention to commit crimes of war, genocide and other violations of peremptory norms of international law in Gaza, as well as the impossibility of entry of humanitarian assistance.

“The atrocities that are being committed in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel, particularly in Gaza, which has been under a total blockade since March without entry of humanitarian aid and under constant indiscriminate bombings against the civilian population,” said the statement.
The message signed by Co -Presidents Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, denounced Israel’s intention to occupy the Gaza Strip permanently and expel the Palestinian people with a population of more than two million people and the states, continues to support the commission of these crimes.

“Once again, Israel has made public its intention to commit crimes of war, genocide and other violations of peremptory norms of international law,” said the authorities of Nicaragua.
Meanwhile, they called on the nations that violate “their obligations under international law, continue to support the government of Israel, political, financially and militarily, to comply with international law norms.”
They also asked the international community to assume “corresponding concrete and practical actions in accordance with what was said by the International Court of Justice and the resolutions approved by the UN General Assembly”.
Nicaragua will continue to carry out “the actions you consider necessary to fulfill its international obligations.”
The Government of Reconciliation and National Unit reaffirms “its commitment to the rule of law at the international level and the peaceful solution of controversies between states.”
