(Update the dead of the attack on Wednesday and the attack on Tuesday night)
Jerusalem/Gaza City, May 7 (EFE) .- Israel killed 16 people in a new attack on Wednesday to a school in the Gaza Strip, including journalist, a child and two women, sanitary sources informed Efe in the enclave.
The attack took place at the Karama de Al Tuffah, near the city of Gaza (north), which housed families displaced by the war, and 16 people died, according to the count offered to EFE of the deceased arriving at the morgues of the hospitals of Al Awda and the Ahli.
There were two impacts on school, one of them to Alba and the second later, when several people had moved to the place to attend the victims, local sources reported.
Among the deceased was a child, two women and the journalist Nour the Din Mata Abdo, whose death reported the Gazati government media office.
The journalist, the statement said, “worked as a announcer and journalistic editor in various media” and local sources informed Efe that among them was the medium Alsharq News.
-In the note, the Media Office indicates that there are already 213 journalists killed in Gaza since the beginning of the war in October 2023, and “condemns in the most energetic terms the attack, murder and systematic death of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation.”
These dead are added to the 33 deaths in two attacks last night to the Abu Hamisah school of the Bureij refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip.
In this school of the UN Office for Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, which also hosted displaced families, there were also two attacks, one of them in the middle of them and the second at midnight.
Among the dead were 9 children and 6 women, medical sources indicated in the enclave.
The Israeli army, for now, has not spoken about the attacks, although in the past it has defended similar bombings ensuring that the centers served as a hiding place to Militiamen de Hamás.
Since Israel launched its offensive against the Gaza Strip, in retaliation for the attack of Hamas against its territory on October 7, 2023, more than 52,600 Palestinians have died in the enclave due to the incessant attacks of the Israeli armed forces, according to the count of the Gazatí Ministry of Health.
