Rio de Janeiro, May 3 (EFE) .- A 19-year-old died and two were injured in an accident in a amusement park in Petrópolis, inside the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, official sources reported this Saturday.
The incident occurred early this Saturday in one of the amusement park attractions known as ‘Crazy Park’.
The deadly victim died in the hospital for “multiple injuries”, while two women suffered minor injuries and received the medical discharge in the following hours, according to the Mayor’s Office of Petropolis.
The municipal administration reported in a statement that revoked the amusement park license after the event. In parallel, the Civil Police has opened an investigation to clarify “the possible causes of the accident.”
‘Crazy Park’ stressed, in a note disclosed to the media, that “it meets all the protocols required by federal, regional and municipal legislation,” and defended its “commitment to the security and well -being of visitors.”
He also said that the legal representatives of the attraction “are collaborating with the competent authorities” to clarify the circumstances of the event.
And he pointed out that Park’s first aid personnel mobilized “immediate” after what happened, paid attention to the victims in crazy and transferred them quickly and efficiently to the hospital.
The Mayor’s Office of Petropolis, on the other hand, “sympathized with the families,” he said that he is providing “all the necessary support” to those affected and “continues to accompany the case.” EFE
