Only weeks of the winter campaign inco as an official vaccination point, the Regional Hospital of Talca has already immune to almost 1,300. The goal is to reach 85% of the target register before the arrival of winter.
Since April 1, the HRT first enabled an official vaccination point, in the context of the 2025 winter campaign, with attention from Monday to Friday at box 4 of the CDT clinic, first floor. In just over three weeks, the enclosure already registers an important advance, contributing to 62% of the target population already vaccinated against influenza in the Maule region, which is equivalent to 418,828 people.
The hospital also has vaccines against COVID-19 and the pneumococcus, the latter with less concurrence to date.
Patricia Sandoval, director of the HRT, valued this milestone, mentioning that “it is a great advance, but there is still a way to go to fulfill the 85%goal. We want to strengthen the call to risk groups to approach to vaccinate before the official winter arrival.”
Free vaccination and without requirements other than the card
Vaccines are available at no cost to all people belonging to irrigation groups, without the need for medical recipe or prior registration.
OBJECTIVE GROUP:
-Neons and girls from 6 months to 5th basic
-Pers over 60 years
--Ambrazadas at any stage of gestation
-The chronic patients between 11 and 59 years
-Cenths of older adults
In relation to the Pneumococcal Vaccine, Cristóbal Cáceres, nurse and coordinator of the National HRT Immunization Program, expressed concern about low ascence, pointing out that “we especially invite our older adults to protect themselves from winter. Pneumococcus is a dangerous bacterium that can cause serious respiratory diseases, and this vaccine can make a difference”
