This afternoon’s rain in the Aburrá Valley left serious effects in the south, especially in the Corregimiento de San Antonio de Prado, Itagüí and Caldas.

In social networks, videos of the residents of these municipalities and corregimiento circulate where floods and overflows are seen because of heavy rains.
From the DAGRD they reported that They are already working on the attention of cases with flood affectation in San Antonio de Prado Corregimientoand that fortunately they are not reported.

According to the SIATA, the rains began at 1:47 pm and shortly after 3:00 pm recorded hail fall in San Antonio de Prado. In addition, for 30 minutes there were more than 100 electric discharges throughout the valley: 38 of them in La Estrella, 21 in Medellín, 20 in Caldas, 15 in Envigado, 9 in Itagüí, 3 in Sabaneta and 2 in Barbosa.
On the other hand, from the metropolitan area they reported that there was a significant increase in the level of the Medellín River and its tributaries, with eight stations at the Red Risk level and 12 at the orange level.
