In the facilities of the Popular School of Canaima 4F, located in the Naguanagua of the Carabobo , the sixth meeting “Indigenous and Afro -descendant peasant seeds” was held, as part of the 16th anniversary of the program all the hands to planting, created by the .

The event was attended by producers from various communities, as well as the Team of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) in charge of expanding the Scientific – Peasant in the region.

During the meeting, sustainable experiences, knowledge and practices were shared in the agroecological field, focused on the genetic diversity of the seeds and their crucial role for sovereignty.

Likewise, the exchange of peasant seeds and dialogue tables was promoted, where participants discussed the traditional cultivation techniques and the preservation of native seeds.

The organizers highlighted the need to strengthen collaboration between communities to face current challenges in agriculture.

All hands to sowing and scientific-peasant alliance are part of a scientific-productive agenda of the government, fundamental for the promotion of sustainable agriculture and the recovery of ancestral knowledge, contributing to the empowerment of peasant and indigenous communities.
