From the Huánuco region, and with the purpose of preventing the spread of dengue in all the educational centers of the country, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) launched the campaign “Cole safe without dengue and without zancudo”, which will seek to sensitize during this 2025 to schoolchildren and teachers of 5,000 schools on the prevention and control of the disease nationwide.
The event was developed at the Julio Armando Ruiz Educational Institution of the District of Amarilis, where 2,000 students study between primary and secondary school.
There, the Deputy Minister of Public Health, Ricardo Peña, inaugurated the campaign and supervised the pedagogical work that teachers do with the students to recognize racks from the mosquan Aedes aegyptitransmitter of dengueand identify the symptoms of evil.

Peña highlighted the importance of this activity that seeks children to become carriers of the prevention message against the dengue In their homes, to achieve a multiplier effect on the community.
The goal
“With much pleasure, I have seen the enthusiasm and commitment of children and teachers with this campaign. I hope that attitude is replicated in all schools in the country, since the goal of the Ministry of Health is to eradicate dengue in Peru. This is a coordinated work between the health and education sectors that will result in future in the decrease of this threat against public health”he said.
The campaign “Cole safe without dengue and without zancudo” was inaugurated simultaneously in Piura and Huacho (Lima). The other schools in the country will be added gradually.
Before finishing the inauguration of the campaign, the Deputy Minister of Public Health made a tour of the stands installed in the campus where the professionals of the Regional Health Directorate of Huánuco and the Regional Directorate of Education showed how to prevent dengue to the teachers and the general public.
