Only two days after the discovery of the bodies of 13 miners killed in the province of Pataz, a new tragedy has occurred, this time in Apurímac.
Three workers of the Puchungo mine, located in the Totora sector, District of Oropesa, province of Antabamba, were found lifeless on the afternoon of this Tuesday, May 6.
The assailants were distributed between the two floors of the interprovincial vehicle, which was circulating along the interoceanic road.
These are the brothers Abraham Huanacchiri Pérez (21), Dario Huanacchiri Pérez (26) and Pablo Huanacchiri Pérez (20). They performed extraction work in one of the undercuts, when, for reasons that are investigated, they died.
His companions found the bodies and immediately gave notice to the police. Some versions of the agents that came to the lifting of the bodies indicate that they would have inhaled toxic gases while working.
It was reported that the three miners were from the town of Huayanacotas, in the province of La Unión.
So far the authorities have not issued a pronouncement on what happened in this artisanal mine.
