Likewise, the total amount that was under the power of the leader of Free Peru will be transferred in favor of the state.
In detail, the judicial authority confiscated S/1,236,543.30 of the bank account of Cerrón Rojasand S/376,969.13 in a management check. The prosecution’s request was approved by the Court specialized in domain extinction.
Judicial Power reported the measure through its social networks.
“Judicial Branch seized and seizes a bank account, as well as a management check of Vladimir Roy Cerrón Rojas for more than S/ 1 million 600 thousand and provides its transfer in favor of the Peruvian State. Measure was arranged by the Court specialized in extinction of domain of Lima by Judge Juan Antonio Rosas Castañeda, who declared a founded demand for extinguishing domain at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office,” he said.
It should be noted that the domain extinction allows the Prosecutor’s Office to request from the Judiciary the seizure of property or real estate that have an illicit origin for the person investigated and/or sentenced to benefit from what is obtained by their criminal activities.
Fugitive Vladimir Cerrón is reincorporated to the rewards program
On April 27, the former governor of JunínVladimir Cerrón, was reincorporated in the rewards program of the Ministry of Interior (Mininter), which offers up to 500,000 soles to those who provide information about their location.
Cerrón, which has a current arrest warrant for alleged crimes of criminal organization and money laundering, had been temporarily excluded from the program, which caused criticism and questions in social networks. Congress approved modifying domain extinction law
On April 11, in the second vote, Congress approved modifying the Domain Extinction Law with the support of Popular Force y Free Peru. The legislative proposal proposes to change Legislative Decree 1373 to demand a firm sentence as a requirement to be able to seize the assets and real estate of an investigation.
With this approval, the obligation is eliminated that a investigated person has to demonstrate the legality of the assets in their possession at the beginning of an investigation by the Public Ministry.
It should be noted that the norm proposes to exclude crimes of corruption, organized crime and money laundering, which would benefit Vladimir Cerrón, among others.
