From Congress, representative Saray Robayo Bechara, of the U party, expressed concern about the recent acts of violence that affect the public force in different regions of the country.
In a public statement, Congresswoman Robayo asked the Executive to adopt urgent measures before the wave of homicides and attacks against military and police.

The recent murders of two soldiers in Córdoba were the trigger for their pronouncement. “The vile murder in Buenavista (Córdoba) hurts against the soldiers Mauricio José Pertuz Ochoa and Mario Alberto Pérez, ambushed and killed by criminal gangs,” said Robayo, who is a native of that department.
As indicated, the communities are exposed to the territorial control of illegal armed structures, while the uniformed are systematically attacked. In that sense, the representative expressed her disagreement with what she considers a lack of state reaction. “Meanwhile, the government is still absent and armed groups impose their law. How long are so much inaction? The alarming deterioration of security is leaving dead throughout the country. Colombia no longer resists the murder of police and soldiers.”
-The parliamentarian made a direct call to President Gustavo Petro to strengthen the operational capacity of the authorities in charge of the order. “I make an urgent call to the National Government to redouble the work of the @fuerzasmilcol and security agencies throughout the territory. Enough! Our soldiers and police have family.”
In recent days, the Gulf clan advanced a violent plan directed against members of the Police and the Army. The strategy, known as “Pistol Plan”, included rewards for killing uniformed, according to intelligence sources. The attacks were concentrated in departments such as Antioquia and Córdoba, in reaction to the blows proposed by the public force to that criminal structure.
However, on May 6 it was known that the maximum head of that group, alias Chiquito Malo, would have ordered to suspend attacks against the uniformed. This instruction would have been issued after several offensive actions of the State, including the capture of alias cherimoya, Zeus and terror, as well as bombing their camps.
In the midst of this situation, the voice of the representative Robayo adds to that of other political leaders who have expressed their concern against the advance of armed structures in the country. Various sectors have questioned the management of public order and the conditions under which dialogues with armed actors are developed, pointing out the need to establish clear limits in that process.
The U party has insisted that the government must act with greater forcefulness to safeguard the lives of those who integrate the public force. The pronouncements of leaders such as Robayo reflect a growing concern in the political scenario for the security of the territories, especially those most exposed to the presence of illegal armed groups.
