“The memories that I still have fresh episodes that occurred, being the first witness, they still produce unease and bewilderment,” said Leyva, adding that one of them happened on a trip to France. “The occasion when you disappeared two days in Paris during an official visit. As if French intelligence were incompetent for not having known your whereabouts.”

In response to the accusations of Leyva, the president’s eldest daughter, Andrea Petro, said that the events mentioned in Paris are fallacious, since the “disappearance” of the first president was to spend quality time with his family, who lives in the capital of France.
“In France my dad found something strange in Colombia: family time, privacy, calm. His favorite hobby was being with my daughters, being a grandfather without distractions. ”
Similarly, the governing of Colombians used their social networks to corroborate the version of Andrea, stating that he tries to take advantage of the little time he has to share with his nearby people.
“I became sin to be with my family. For living several of my children and my mother abroad, For the persecution we suffer, I have very few opportunities to see it, ”Petro wrote in his X account.

The first president took the opportunity to send a strong message to Álvaro Leyva for the publication of the letter containing private information “I did not believe that this fact unleashed atrocious suspicions in people to whom I have shown their hands.”
By the way, he not only rejected the claims of Leyva, but also launched criticisms of the media for giving relevance to this type of content.
“The only way for the press to publish letters, is insulting me. Not only speaks badly of the writer, but about the press,” he said.
And he justified his actions in the European city, arguing that he has the right to visit his daughter and granddaughters who reside there. “Is it that Paris has no parks, museums, bookstores, more interesting than the writer, to spend two days? Almost everything in Paris is more interesting. Is it that I have no daughters and granddaughters in Paris, much more interesting than the writer?

After the publications of President Petro, the director of the Department of Social Prosperity, Gustavo Bolívar, came out in his defense. In his opinion, the letter of Leyva is a lack of loyalty.
“It seems to me fifth. If you don’t like the government, give up. If you have things to say, tell them. You have to have courage and courage also for that, and many have not had it. What Leyva is doing is Revanchismo, ”said Bolívar in an interview with Caracol Radio.
He also said that Leyva has no evidence and that he has never seen President Petro under the effects of hallucinogenic substances. “I don’t have the security of whether the president does those things, but I can say that I have never seen it in those conditions.”
And he reiterated: “I say here that the ministers and officials of President Petro, that they have something to say they say it once. Or that there are things that do not share, they renounce. Going out to despot the president, barely leave the position and his privileges, seems to me from a fifth. ”
