A devastating fire occurred last Sunday night left Marcelo Pino and his three children on the street, with nothing. The tragedy happened around 22 in the Goudge district, and although fortunately there was no regret victims, the material losses were total. The incident broke out when Marcelo was out of his home, along with his children, in the house of a nephew where he performed mechanical tasks.
“We did not know how it occurred, he was not at home, he was at the house of a nephew of mine fixing him a car because he works in a workshop, he has a workshop in his house. He was with his children, there was no one, thank God the children were walking with him,” San Rafael and FM Vos 94.5 Patricia, a friend close to the family. “The house was set on fire, it was left with nothing, it lost everything, everything is really a real misfortune,” he lamented.
Despite the coup, Patricia considers that it was a “misfortune with luck”, since both Marcelo and his children were unharmed. “Thank God can be fine with his children, beyond that he was on the street,” he said.
From the first moment, Goudge’s neighbors mobilized to provide assistance. “From the first minute that began to ask for help, he has had help from what mattress, merchandise, clothing, blankets, but well, everything is needed in a house,” he explained. “From a kitchen to make food or a carafe with a lighter or something like that, to cleaning elements.”
Marcelo lives with his three young children. “The three live with Dad alone,” added Patricia. The request for help, however, is not limited only to the district. Patricia called for solidarity of the entire Sanrafaelina community and those who can collaborate from anywhere.
Currently, the family is managing to feed thanks to the support received. In that sense, he warned about people who would be asking for money in the name of the victim without their authorization. “Do not give money to anyone, because they tell me that a person here has been asking for money on behalf of him and have not brought money by his hand,” he warned. “He is not asking for money, because they are asking for money in his name and that is ugly, because a person is being used with a large need in his name and nothing to do.”

Despite pain and difficulties, hope begins to take shape. Marcelo had begun to raise a small house as an alternative to the piece that originally lived. “He was doing another little house because he lived in a piece that his dad had happened to him,” said her friend. “After the misfortunes come the aid.”
The Municipality of San Rafael, through the District Delegate, already made contact with the case. “The delegate approached yesterday, they saw everything, they are sending everything that is missing,” he said. However, key elements still remain for Marcelo and their children to have a decent roof. “What is needed is a door and windows,” said Patricia.
The situation deeply moved the neighbors, who continue to add efforts. In the midst of adversity, solidarity and community commitment, they are fundamental pillars to rebuild not only a home, but also the hope of an entire family.
