In the facilities of the Morgue of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Barranquilla, the body found without life was identified in the last hours in the sector known as El Devio, jurisdiction of the municipality of Sitionuevo, Magdalena.
This is Manuel Esteban Narváez Gutiérrez, a public accountant, who, according to the information provided by the authorities, was kidnapped on April 15 in the Ciudad Caribe neighborhood, in Barranquilla.
According to the authorities, Narváez was in the 8G race with 128th Street of the aforementioned neighborhood, walking to his pet around 3 in the afternoon, when he was violently approached by several individuals who arrived at his home in several vehicles.
Vehicles used for the abduction were found a day later in the Rebolo neighborhood, in the southeast of Barranquilla. The autopsy performed by the judicial experts revealed that the victim had several bullet impacts and signs of torture.
At the time of the finding, Narváez wore a red sweater and a red shirt pants. Police authorities continue with the investigation to determine the mobiles of the crime and capture those responsible. “We are going to establish contact with relatives and conduct them interviews to determine if the accountant had previously received death threats,” said an official in charge of the case.
