Pakistan and India soldiers exchanged shots in the disputed cashmere region for the third consecutive night, authorities reported on Sunday, when relations between the two rivals fall at their lowest level in years.
India accused Pakistan of supporting “cross -border terrorism,” after armed men made on April 22 the worst attack against civilians in Kashmir, Muslim majority, in a quarter of a century.

Islamabad denies the version and describes as “frivolous” the attempts to link Pakistan with the attack, so he promised to respond to Indian action.
The Indian Army carried out Naval Exercises on Sunday – and spread images of warships shooting missiles – while the country’s security forces are still looking for those responsible for killing 26 people in a tourist site in Pahalgam.
The Indian Armed Forces affirmed on Sunday that there were “not provoked” shots with small weapons “initiated by Pakistan” along the control line (LDC) that separates the two countries.
“(Our) troops effectively responded with appropriate fire of small weapons,” he added.
Pakistan initially did not confirm the exchange of shooting in the LDC.
The Indian police published posters in search of the three men, two Pakistani and an Indian, of which he states are members of the Lashkar-E-Taiba group, based on Pakistan and qualified as “terrorist” by the UN.

In response, Pakistan ordered the expulsion of Indian military diplomats and advisors, canceled visas for Indian citizens and closed the main border position since its territory.
The UN urged the archirival to show “maximum moderation” and solve their differences peacefully.
Kashmira has been divided between India and Pakistan since its independence in 1947. Both claim sovereignty over the entire territory but govern in separate parts.
Rebel groups since 1989 have fought an insurgency in the part -controlled by India, in demand of their independence or its merger with Pakistan.
Soldiers in the Indian part of Kashmiro bombed on Saturday the house of the Farooq Ahmad Tadwa family, one of the suspects of Pahalgam’s attack.
Nine rebel combatant houses have been bombed since Pahalgam’s attack, a police source in anonymity told AFP Sunday.
