Bolivia, Cuba and Belarus today coincide in the need to strengthen cooperation in strategic spheres in the context of the BRICs (, Russia, India, China and South Africa), said Bolivian Foreign Minister, Celinda Sosa.

The headline highlighted in her social networks the talks she held with her peers in those countries, Bruno Rodríguez and Sergey Lukasevich, respectively, on the occasion of the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of that forum in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“We agree on the need to strengthen cooperation and solidarity among our peoples, reactivating joint agendas in strategic areas, such as health, education, agriculture, science and technology,” Sosa wrote in his Facebook .

He informed that the conversations the emphasized the collaboration in branches such as biotechnology, energy, medicine, agriculture and tourism.

At the same , he reaffirmed the will to consolidate Bolivia as a key actor in regional integration and in the construction of a more fair, inclusive and sustainable .

He described that in the conversations the parties also ratified the commitment to the principles of multilateralism, mutual cooperation and solidarity between peoples in correspondence with the call of the Global South to face the great world and regional challenges coordinated.

He informed that during the sustained meetings he reiterated the invitation for both authorities to accompany the Bolivian people in the Bicentennial celebration (August 6).

He added that “it will be a historical moment that will reaffirm the values ​​of , sovereignty and unity that we share.”

The BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting will be closed on Tuesday.

The Bolivia considers participation in this event as a transcendental step in its international positioning, which reaffirms the commitment to active and multilateral diplomacy.

The BRICS foreign ministers foresee a fruitful exchange of views on current issues of the international agenda, such as the strengthening of multilateralism, the reform of global institutions and the promotion of a more fair and equitable international order.

The Bolivian representation in this meeting of Rio de Janeiro promotes the need to together to face common challenges and strengthen cooperation in multilateral spaces, it was reported.
