Seoul, May 2 (EFE) .- ‘Light and Thread’, Han Kang’s book after receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2024, has become an immediate success in South Korea, reaching first place in the list of best-selling ones in the Kyobo bookstores , the country’s principal, just a week after its launch.

The , which brings together twelve meditative trial texts and poems accompanied by black and white photographs taken by the author herself, headed the sales list from April 23 to 29, announced by Kyobo this .

The title comes from a Nobel -related conference they have spoken in December to the Swedish Academy in Stockholm. The work includes its reflections in the event and in the banquet of the prestigious .

With her new book, the South Korean writer offers a contemplative and serene portrait about creation, memory and inner life, consolidating her status as one of the most influential voices of contemporary South Korean literature.

Before ‘Light and Thread’, Han had already reached recognition with works such as ‘La Veleariana’, winner of the Man Booker International in 2016, and ‘Human acts’, acclaimed by their moving portrait of repression and historical memory in South Korea.
