Kongstad wins with a risky bet
In the male race, Kongstad starred in a memorable performance. The Danish decided to attack alone after the first 200 km, separating from a select head group and completely rolling only for almost five hours. Crossed the goal after 11 hours, 37 minutes and 30 secondscompleting the 358.5 km of the tour and thus adding the greatest success of his career.
“I made a stupid attack with 160 km for the end, alone against the wind,” The cyclist explained at the end of the test. “I didn’t want to pull the climbers in the plain, so I decided to go alone and reach me if they could.”

Winner
Stetina could not renew her 2024 victory
In the absence of 50 km, Kongstad already had six minutes of advantage. Behind, a trio was formed with Benjamin Perry, Mattia de Marchi and Jan Stöckli, although the latter ended up joining a powerful Simen Nordahl Svendsen (also from Pas Racing), which he had been tracing. Finally, Stöckli achieved second place after overcoming Svendsen to Esprint, while Perry was fourth to four minutes from the third classified.
Peter Stetina, winner in 2024, ended seventh at 11 and a half minutes from the winner, behind Ande Koster and Marchi. Kongstad, who had been second in 2023 and fifth in 2024, thus achieves his first victory in The Traka and reaffirms his progression after the third place achieved in Unbound Serlal 200 this year.

Miga repeats crown in the female test
CLOSED FIGHT IN women’s Category
In the female category, Karolina Migoń managed to successfully defend her title in The Traka 360. The Polish broker launched her final attack on the last section of the path, after crossing a ford of water, and left behind her two great rivals: Axelle Dubau-Prévôt (Number 31 by Café du Cycliste) y Sarah Sturm (Specialized).
The three had maintained a very closed fight during the last kilometers, with me by launching a first 10 km target attack. Dubau-Prévôt managed to close the hole, and later Sturm also connected again after the paved descent. The decision occurred in the final stretch of the path, where Migoń was placed in front and managed to open a decisive hole.

Winning
Migon takes his 2nd victory
“We knew there were less strong girls in the group, so we released them and worked together until the end of the day,” explained my. “We squeezed ourselves at the climbs, but we were matched, so everything was decided in the last 2 km.”
Dubau-Prévôt managed to impose itself on Sturm in the fight for second place. The American, who had already been second and third in previous editions, was again in third position. «I felt good today, although not all the time. It is frustrating after fighting so much. I had no spark at the end for the esprint, » admitted. He also denounced the presence of numerous men who interfered in the women’s career: “It was quite chaotic, with people mixing, jumping diversions, falls … Luckily I ended up healthy.”

Winners
A demanding tour and several abandonments
Several favorites suffered setbacks
The Tour of The Traka 360, introduced in 2021, took the runners north of Girona, through the ascent to more patiras, and returned to the south crossing the mountains of the gavarres and demanding increases such as Els Els Metges, accumulating a positive slope of 3,700 meters.
In the female category, Geerike Schreurs (SD Worx-Protime), second last year, had to abandon 80 km after a fall in a rocky area. Although he tried to return to the head group, he was finally forced to retire and was transferred to the hospital with a possible fracture in his hand. Lachlan Morton was completely discarded from the test by a mechanical breakdown when it was part of the head group shortly after the first assistance point.
The Traka 360 demonstrates again why it is the great European reference of Gravel, with a very high level, brutal tours and a luxury participation in both men and women.
