The association needs to complete the procedures this week to guarantee the arrival of boys and girls from the Chernobyl area.
The Chernobil Elkartea association has launched an urgent appeal to Basque citizens so that more families or people, individually, are encouraged to host minors from the area affected by the Chernobil nuclear accident, in Ukraine.
The association seeks that these people complete the necessary procedures this week to ensure that boys and girls can travel to Euskadi between July 1 and the end of August.
The minors, between 6 and 18, will benefit from a temporary stay that aims to improve their health and well -being, moving them away for a few weeks from the contaminated environment where they live.
The association recalls that any family model is valid to host; The important thing is to cover the needs of the girl or boy. For this, the association offers constant support to cozy families, which will also have the experience and accompaniment of veteran homes that have been collaborating with the program for years.
From the organization they insist on the importance of informing themselves and encouraging to participate in this solidarity work. Interested persons can do it through their website or calling 670 419 078.
