In terms of Internet access, Bogotá, it positioned itself as the leading region with 29 accesses per 100 inhabitants, followed by the departments of Antioquia with 23 and Quindío that completed 22. Mobile Internet and adoption of 4G and 5G technologies

The report highlights the data of the Mobile Internet, Colombia, which closed the fourth quarter of 2024 with more than 49 million accesses, which means that 94 out of every 100 Colombians have a connection through their mobile devices, a remarkable increase in front of the ratio of 91 out of every 100 recorded a year ago.

Of the total accesses, 84% was made through 4G technology, while 7.7% already operates under the 5G network, which has been the main drive of growth with more than 2 million new connections in the year.

The affordability of the mobile internet presented with a reduction in navigation costs. According to the data reported, 1GB of data under subscription had an average cost of $ 1,745. In addition, there was a total of 92.1 million active lines of which 2 out of 10 correspond to postpaid plans. As for voice traffic, about 24,200 million minutes were taken.

The figures of the quarter quarter of 2024 reflect sustained growth in the connectivity of the country, with significant advances in internet speed, adoption of advanced mobile technologies and cost reduction for users.
