The Argentine Association of Brands and Franchises (AAMF), together with the Bureau Veritas international certifier, recently presented a tool that aims to further professionalize the franchise system in the country.
This is Franq, a quality seal designed to audit and validate the strength of the business models that operate under this scheme.
The new standard contemplates the evaluation of nine key areas, including legal aspects, marketing, sustainability, formation, operational knowledge (know-how) and brand reputation.
-The certification is obtained after overcoming an audit that reviews more than 130 items, of which 90 are considered critical. Its validity is 24 months, with the possibility of renewal through a new evaluation.
From the organization, they emphasize that this initiative seeks to contribute greater transparency to the franchise selection process, which represents an advantage for both investors that begin in the field and for those who seek to expand their participation with already consolidated brands.
The franchise sector in Argentina foresees a 10 % growth for 2025, which would result in the opening of about 5500 new points of sale.
This estimate is aligned with the trend of sustained growth observed in recent years, which has oscillated between 8 % and 12 % per year.
This model has generated a growing interest among investors, who seek to diversify their capital and generate passive income in high demand sectors, among which footwear and clothing stand out.
