According to the statistics published on Tuesday by the Ministries of Labor and Social Security, Easter returned to play again in favor of employment behavior. Although the volume of workers has been twelve months above 21 million, despite the different fluctuations experienced at this time, the 230,993 new positions generated in April significantly exceed those originated in the same month last year (199,538); although they are less than those of 2023 (238,436). However, the total number of middle affiliates – without discounting the effects of seasonality – continues to increase for the fourth consecutive month, and installs a new record in the historical series. “Employment continues to grow and is of more quality. The results of the labor reform are unquestionable,” said the Minister of Social Security, Elma Saiz. The report prepared by its department emphasizes that it is the second largest increase in one month of April and the fourth largest intermennsual ascent since 2012.
As for the number of employed in the same period last year, almost half a million more (487,134) were computed in the last April.
