A total of 124 earthquakes were detected by the Venezuelan seismological Service (SSV), of the Venezuelan Seismological Research Foundation (Funvisis) during the month of April.
This follows from the report of the seismological network, shared through the Telegram social network, where telluric activity is discriminated against, according to each region of the territory and its magnitude.
During this month there were movements between 1.9 and 5.2 on the Richter scale, the agency said.
In the central region, 15 earthquakes were recorded 3; while in the western 31 and in the eastern 15 of the same magnitude.
-In the western territory there were 26 movements between 3 and 4 on the Richter scale and in the Eastern there were 28 movements of the same intensity.
During the month of April there was an earthquake of intensity 5 in the west of the country.
In the publication, Funvisis stressed that although it is true, it is not possible to predict earthquakes at present, the continuous monitoring is necessary for the planning of emergency action strategies in case of registering a seismic event of greater magnitude.
