The field work carried out from April 28 to May 3, with a sample obtained by various consultation methods of 800 people registered in the Electoral Registry with the intention of voting, threw in favor of Luis Reyes a 54%popularity, while the flag bearer of the UNT/ Union alliance and change, Marcial Daza appears with 12%, followed by the representative of democratic action, Roberto Sánchez who obtained 8%. of advanced progressive Monir Chiriti with 5%, while Alexis Lamazares barely achieved 3% popular support.
The high positioning of Luis Reyes Reyes is greatly attributed to its previous management as governor, especially for the support provided to the health and sports sector, which has left a positive mark on the memory of many voters.
