What is the H2 Magallanes project about?
The project will be installed in more than 72 thousand hectares distributed in the communes of San Gregorio, Punta Arenas and Laguna Blancaand contemplates the construction of a Green hydrogen and ammonia production plant.
This plant will use:
- Nitrogen obtained from the air
- Hydrogen generated by electrolysis
- Electricity of wind origin
- Desmineralized seawater
To do this, they will be built A wind farm, a desalination plant, electrolysis and maritime infrastructure centerswhose building would begin in April 2027 and they would be disassembled towards 2055according to the schedule delivered to the SEA.
