More than 1,880 million pesos will be invested in 2025, within the road infrastructure reconstruction program for Guerrero, the of the Ministry of Infrastructure, and Transport (SICT), Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, reported, endorsing the commitment of President Claudia Sheinbaum with the after the damage left by Hurricane John.

During the morning conference from the National Palace, the federal reported that the reconstruction works of 63 bridges and 43 road sections in the state network are already underway, of which 36 fronts are currently active attending the management of these works carried out by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda.

These actions aim to modernize the road network, make it more resistant and guarantee connectivity in communities affected by natural phenomena such as Hurricane John.

One of the cases to highlight is the construction of the omitlán bridge, in the of Juan R. Escudero, whose original structure was severely damaged by heavy .

He said that now a new parallel bridge is being built, with a larger section and designed to withstand storm avenues of up to a thousand years of , which guarantees its functionality before extreme conditions.

In the federal network, it also advances in the modernization of bridges near Acapulco, such as the Mendizábal that connects to kilometer 21, which will now have two additional axes for a greater capacity for traffic and road safety.

In addition, Esteva Medina announced that the work has already started on the Cuautla-Tlapa highway, with 33 kilometers in the of modernization and three active fronts that will allow its extension to two and four lanes. Also, on the Salina Cruz – Zihuatanejo, work with 70 workers, 21 machines and four two -lane modernization fronts.

More handmade roads for Guerrero with 930 MDP investment 2025

Another relevant point of the program is the construction of 143 kilometers of artisanal roads in Guerrero, for which agreements have already been signed and an investment of 930 million pesos has been contemplated. These works will improve connectivity in rural areas and boost mountain .

The of the SICT reported on the acquisition of new paving trains, and confirmed that Guerrero will be one of the states benefited from these units, to reinforce the pothole work on his road network.
