Soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (FDI) and officers of the Special Force Gideonim (Unit 33) Israel Police arrested in the vicinity of the town of Bartaa to an individual suspected of having perpetrated yesterday, Wednesday, a terrorist attack with a firearm in the area of Reihan Carretero Control Post in Samaria (northern Bank).
This is highlighted by a joint statement of the IDF, the Israel Police and the Shabak Intelligence Agency (General Security Service).
The statement highlights that the intelligence information provided by the shabak allowed the forces to surround the suspect’s house, which was then delivered without resistance.
-Two soldiers reserved for the IDF were seriously injured in yesterday’s attack.
Paramedics supplied first aid to the injured in the scene that were evacuated to a helicopter hospital. Initially, the status of the two victims was classified as moderate but, then their conditions were aggravated and the hospital reported that injured are in serious condition.
“A soldier of the Battalion 5703 Battalion of Search and Rescue and another of the Battalion 703 of maintenance were seriously injured during an incident in the area of the Reihan Carretero crossing. The reservists were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical care and their families were notified,” said the military spokesman yesterday.
