The minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, in front of the Auditorium of Latam economic Forum 2025, referred to the challenges of the Argentine economy and the changes carried out by the administration of Javier Milei. “The Miserable Argentina model was over, which was given in dollars,” Referring to previous economic policies, which, according to their vision, led the country to a model of dependence on international currency flows without guaranteeing a solid internal growth base.
Along the same lines, the minister stressed the transfer to a new economic model that promotes sustainable development and strength of the domestic market. “We are going for an opposite model, one that fosters internal savings, that drives local production and recovers the value of our currency, ”he said, pointing to the structural reforms they are implementing.
In addition, Caputo highlighted the importance of achieving sustained growth and the reduction of inflation, key objectives for the recovery of the economy and the improvement of citizens’ purchasing power.
