San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.– A total of 45 people, among repatriated migrants and employees, were evacuated preventively This Thursday, May 8 of the temporary shelter located in the Industrial Park, given the suspicion of a gas leak.
The commander of volunteer firefighters, Noah González Sanpedro, informed that units of the corporation moved to the site to support Lto evacuation of the property and carry out the corresponding inspection work.
Unit 37 of station number 2 of volunteer firefighters attended the place, which, after reviewing the facilities, identified that the cause of gas smell was a valve that was not completely closed. Fortunately, no injured people were registered.
Civil Protection elements and municipal firefighters also went to the site, who joined the prevention actions to guarantee the safety of the hostel occupants.
The authorities recalled the importance of immediately reporting any smell of gas or suspicious situation to avoid greater risks.
