After a resounding success in its theater premiere, director Ani Alva Helfer and her team return to the scene with ‘A week nothing more’a French comedy that captivated thousands of spectators in Lima.

With more than 7,500 attendees in his first season, ‘A week nothing more’ became one of the most successful comedies of the last year. “It was a wonderful experience to see how the public connected with this story from day one. Many were left without seeing it, and we felt that we should return. This second season is a party for those who could not be in the first,” said Ani Alva Helfer, visibly excited by this second chance on the tables.

“Directing for the first time in theater was a huge challenge and a totally different experience from the cinemabut it was also very rewarding, ”says the director.

“Seeing that the public filled each function was an indescribable emotion. This second season is the confirmation that it was worth risking,” confessed the director, who is also part of the production team with Gianella Neyra and Renato Nonajulca.
The work brings together three artists with great experience and popularity: Cristian Rivero, Magdyel Ugaz and Armando Machuca. Under the attached direction of Raúl Zuazo, the cast has been key to achieving a dynamic, fun and close interpretation.
“I had a lot of fun in the first seasonbut the most valuable thing was to feel that energy from the public, those genuine laughs. This work has humor, but also humanity, and that makes it special, ”said Cristian Rivero, who repeats the leading role in this new stage.
The plot revolves around a couple who, facing a crisis, decides to “take a while.” To achieve this, they involve a friend who, unintentionally, ends up trapped in a series of absurd situations.
What begins as an innocent strategy becomes a cocktail of misunderstandings, discussions and comic moments that sharply reflect coexistence in a couple.
With a script full of unexpected turns, the work not only starts laughing, but also invites you to think about the relationships and decisions we make to maintain, or to avoid them.
The functions will be performed at the Claretian Theater in San Miguel. Recent productions such as ‘How to forget your ex’ and ‘Moby Dick’ have already gone through their stage, strengthening their presence as the headquarters of quality theater.
