Anthony Volpe injured his left shoulder in a sweep on Saturday against Rays and Yankees will be cautious with him
New York – The Shortstop Anthony Volpe is out of the New York Yankees lineup on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays, one day after injuring his left shoulder when he throws himself when trying to catch a roletazo.
“Radiographies, magnetic resonance: good news,” said the yankees manager, Aaron Boone. “It is sore today, but I think we are probably in a good situation. We’ll see. For now, we are evaluating day by day.”
Volpe remained in the game after his failed attempt to seek a turned glove, tending to the head of Christopher Morel in the eighth entrance, which triggered a two racing comeback in the victory of Tampa Bay 3-2 on Saturday.
Volpe said after the game that he heard a crunch on his shoulder.
“It is not very clear. It has some discomfort that seems to be old, so it is difficult to know exactly,” said Boone. “It is definitely a little irritated to the shoulder today.”
Volpe, 24, beats .233 with five home runs, 19 ranges and four bases stolen in its third season with the Yankees.
Oswald Peraza was listed as a starter in the Campocorto, hitting as a ninth in order.
New York no longer has the second base Jazz Chisholm Jr. (Dystension in the right oblique), the third base DJ Lemahieu (distension in the left calf), the AS Gerrit Cole (Tommy John Surgery) and the right pitcher Luis Gil (relaxation in the right width dorsal), the current rookie of the year of the American League.
