Barcelona — Barcelona received an impulse in his attack with the return of Robert Lewandowski to the team’s call before Tuesday’s back against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Lewandowski was included in the call on Monday after having been off for about two weeks due to an injury to the left thigh.
The Polish striker was lost four games, including the exciting first leg of last week against Inter in Barcelona, when the teams tied 3-3. He was injured in a Spanish League match against Celta de Vigo on April 19.
“I talked to him yesterday. He is recovering better than we expected,” said Barca coach Hansi Flick on Monday. “He is prepared to be on the bench and, in case we need it, he will enter again.”
Lewandowski, 36, is having one of his best seasons with the Barca club. He has scored 40 goals in total, including 11 in the Champions League. The Spanish League leads with 25 goals, one more than Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid.
Flick rested to almost all the usual headlines of Barça in the victory of the 2-1 team in Valladolid for the Spanish League on Saturday.
With four games to play for each team, Barça has a four -point advantage over Madrid before the classic next Sunday.
