Twenty -three combined in male and female categories will compete for five days in the municipality to win the Spanish championship.
San Pedro del Pinatar hosts from today, Wednesday 7, and until next Sunday, May 11, the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Selections of Football Sub 10 in male and female categories, with a total of twenty -three autonomic combined.
This was presented yesterday afternoon by the Councilor for Sports of San Pedro del Pinatar, Pedro Vivancos and the president of the Regional Football Steering Committee, Luciano Herrero, which Javier Fernández, president of the Local Club Zambú CFS Pinatar, also accompanied.
Herrero took advantage of his speech to thank the Spanish Football Federation for his trust when appointing the region and more specifically San Pedro del Pinatar as the headquarters of this championship.
Next, it was the president of the CFS Pinatar Zambú who thanked the opportunity given to the club to be able to participate in the organization of an event as important as this, highlighting the work that the volunteers will carry out, especially the associations Weight and Aidemar.
The championship will be played in the Prince of Asturias pavilion, which together with the cube pavilions and the CEC San Pedro Apostle, which actively collaborates in the event, will be the three venues of the championship.
For the Councilor for Sports of San Pedro del Pinatar, the municipality brings together the optimal conditions for the realization of this type of event as it has already demonstrated on numerous occasions, thus enhancing the work that has been carried out in the promotion of base sport.
In addition, Vivancos highlighted the tourist importance of this championship that brings together in San Pedro del Pinatar to twenty -three national combined sub 10.
The delegations of the different autonomous communities with matches on the first day of competition are already hosted in the municipality. In the male competition the tournament is made up of 13 selections that will try to win the title that, currently, defends Principality of Asturias.
In the female team there will be 10 selections, three more than in 2024, which will compete for the Cup of the Championship that last year achieved the selection of Catalonia.
