Microsoft has announced the launch window of Gears of War: Reloaded, the rumored – although so far not confirmed – Remaster of the first game of the Gears of War saga, originally released in 2006. The launch intends to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series, which will be next year 202
The new version will cost 39’99 dollars (which will probably be translated at 39.99 euros) for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. Users who already have the previous remastered version of Gears of War, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, can update to Reloaded without additional cost.
The game includes all the content of the Ultimate edition, together with the downloadable content: the extra campaign act, the multiplayer modes with all the maps, and the unlocked characters and cosmetics. It will continue to support online multiplayer to split screen but, for the first time, this functionality will be multiplatform.
In addition, the game promises 4K resolution, 60 fps in the campaign and 120 fps in the multiplayer, HDR support and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, total absence of load screens, space audio, VRR, better shadows and visual effects and more improvements in the technical section.
Gears of War: Reloaded will be launched in summer of 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. It will be available as part of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions.
