As of May 5, 2025, WhatsApp will stop offering support for a series of mobile phones operating with old versions of Android and iOS operating systems. This decision will affect millions of users who depend on the popular messaging application for daily communication.

Affected devices

The list of devices that will no longer compatible includes models that operate with versions prior to Android 5 and iOS 15.1. Consequences for users

The loss of WhatsApp compatibility represents a great for those who still use older phones. In a where instant communication has become essential, the impossibility of accessing this platform can generate significant interruptions in the personal and life of users.
