An Argentine family was the protagonist of a tragic traffic accident in Chilean territory while returning to our country. The tremendous accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Sunday on route T-39, at the height of the Lagos commune, in the Los Ríos region.
Due to the fact, a 12 -year -old girl died and there are three people injured: two adults and a minor.
The family was heading to the Hua Hum border crossing, in the south of the province of Neuquén, near the town of San Martín de los Andes. According to official reports, the truck in which they were traveling and left the road and ended up turning after impacting a containment barrier and then against a pillar. The driver would have lost control of the vehicle when taking a curve in conditions of little visibility, product of an intense mist that covered the section.
The child lost her life at the scene of the accident, while the other occupants were transferred to a hospital where they received attention for injuries that, although they were of consideration, did not compromise their life.
The Chilean authorities continue with the investigations to clarify the details of the fact and confirm the exact circumstances that led to the tragic outcome.
