Urgent | Petroleros demand the “immediate” reopening of the parity of the deposits

The Argentine Trade Union Federation of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (Faspegybio) through an statement launched a call to the authorities of the Ministry of Labor of the Nation to be “urgently convened to the business chambers (CEPH and CEOPE)”, with the aim of advancing in the recomposition of the sector.

After the of the loss of purchasing power as a consequence of inflation at the level, the Federation remarked that “inflation has left a brutal delay in the salaries of deposit workers.” The entity argued in a release.

In that line, Faspegybio said that “the business sector still maintains an unsolved debt of the 2024/2025 that culminated March 31,” and that it still showed no “interest” in advancing in the dispositions of the new period that began in April 2025.

The Federation, which Gabriel Barroso leads, also warned about “the accumulated debt deeply alters the stability of the sector” and that “the workers represented could not recover a marked deterioration of the purchasing power of their wages,” the organization said.

Finally, Faspegybio once again urged the business sector and the authorities of the Ministry of Labor to “commit immediately” to resolve the “dramatic situation.” In this way, the organization that Gabriel Barroso leads, made “responsible for the altering of social peace with which they have demonstrated a permanent commitment” to the national authorities and the business sector, they reported.
