This Monday sits on the bench, Ezequiel Hernández confessed of the death of his ex -wife Mari Carmen who hit an iron bar in the head while sleeping. Three days later he died at the UCI of the Miguel Servet Hospital
The events took place in Escatron, where the victim lived after having separated from him. It was September 10, 2022 but it will be this Monday when he responds to this macabre macho crime. Ezequiel is 75 years old, she died at the hands of her ex -partner with 70 and had divorced after a marriage full of threats and humiliations. In fact, a conviction for gender violence was already weighed then.
The victim went to live in Escatron and a year after the break, he appeared at home at dawn as he slept and opened his head with an iron bar. Then he left the house and stopped a civil guard vehicle confessing the events. The agents found Mari Carmen wounded and still alive.
Ezequiel Hernández faces a revisable permanent prison sentence. It is the request of their three children while the Prosecutor’s Office requests 25 years in prison for crime, 3 for a crime against moral integrity and another for breach of conviction since it was in force a departure order.
The defendant had received psychiatric treatment, but abandoned it before the crime, so the defense asks to be acquitted and the complete exemption is applied by the psychopathological disorder he suffers.
