
Drafting. Xalapa, Ver.- Federal authorities arrested the municipal president of Teuchitlán, Jalisco, José Asunción Murgía Santiago, indicated of alleged links with the case of the Izaguirre ranch, which the Attorney General’s Office has described as a center for training of organized crime.
The mayor of the Citizen Movement would have received reports about what was happening at the Izaguirre Rancho, however he omitted actions in this regard, so he is accused of alleged organized crime.
According to what the FGR has reported, 14 processes were opened for alleged crime organized by the Teuchitlán case, and arrest warrants will continue to be fulfilled.
Previously the Emecist mayor declared to be open to be investigated and denied having prior knowledge about the supposed training center of the New Generation Jalisco cartel, which would have been installed at the Izaguirre Rancho since 2021, the year in which he began his municipal administration.
