Personnel of the Third Police Station found the whereabouts of the 49 -year -old man, who maintains a cause for driving under the influence of alcohol.
In the early hours of this Thursday, May 8, police units attended the intersection of Concepción Street with Iquique in Rahue Bajo for a traffic accident, in which unfortunately a woman of approximately 38 years of age died.
As reported by the captain of the third police station, Juan Castro, thanks to the work done at the site of the event for the IAT unit and roads of Osorno, managed to locate and stop the driver who participated in the fatal accident occurred in the sector, finding parked in front of his home the vehicle he was driving, which kept clear damage associated with the accident.
-The Public Ministry, knowing the results of the proceedings, ordered the concurrence of the Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory of Puerto Montt in order to carry out expertise to the vehicle located and thus be able to establish their participation in the accident that claimed the life of a person.
“The accused corresponds to a 49 -year -old adult man, who already maintains a criminal cause for driving under the influence of alcohol, being in custody in the police unit to go to detention control this Friday,” said the captain.
“We appreciate the collaboration of the community, who provided relevant information and that facilitated the location and capture of the driver,” he added.
