The research work in the cause of the theft occurred in September last year gave its results. This noon the Missions Police troops arrested the man who would be the brain of a criminal family clan that perpetrated a series of robberies in the area. With this detention, all the members of the group are now in judicial custody: a son and a brother of Victor had already been arrested months ago in the investigation.
The 48 -year -old involved had a current arrest warrant for his alleged participation in four qualified robbery. The apprehension was completed in the vicinity of the Regional Football League site, after undercover surveillance as a result of extensive investigation initiated months ago.
The man was pointed out as the leader and ideologist of a criminal organization made up of members of his own family, who would have starred in a straight assaults against the property in different parts of the city.
The most resonant fact occurred in September 2024, when a company was stripped of 19 million pesos in cash and a Toyota Hilux truck. For the facts, two of their relatives were already detained, which revealed the actions of a family clan overturned to the crime.
With the operation on Monday, all those involved in the criminal structure are finally available to justice.
Millionaire assault
On September 30 of last year, a group of employees of a distributor was approached by armed criminals circulating on a motorcycle while moving in a van. The assailants took a total of 19 million pesos and the truck, which was recovered hours later.
Days later, the Misiones Police deployed a simultaneous mega operation in Puerto Iguazú to dismantle the band responsible for theft. During that operation, the agents arrested a 27 -year -old man, who is believed to be involved in at least three armed assaults along with three accomplices who at that time had already been identified.
In the raids made at that time in different parts of the city of the cataracts, a gun replica, a tactical vest, shotgun cartridges and 22 caliber, as well as a Toyota Corolla vehicle that presumably was used by suspects to perform intelligence tasks prior to theft. In addition, 1,470,000 pesos were recovered that would be part of the loot.
In November of that year, the Police captured the second of the clan to fall, a 21 -year -old who would be the son of the man arrested on Monday, who is also suspected of being a member of the band accused of the theft of more than 18 million pesos to a distribution company. The arrest of the young man last November was the result of a raid carried out by the Regional Unit V in a house in the Hermoso neighborhood, where a cell phone, a firearm and other elements related to the crime were seized.
Continuing with the operations to dismantle this criminal gang, in the month of February of this year agents arrested two other fugitive people from justice. This was completed within the framework of an investigation on the theft of a Yamaha XTz 250 motorcycle.
After a search carried out, Jonathan D. (34) were arrested, involved in theft of the distributor and who would be the brother of the last fugitive, and Paulo M. (34), who had an arrest warrant pending for judicial disobedience and threats in the jurisdiction of the Women’s Police Station.
