José Alejandro Medina Slope, 49 years old and Venezuelan nationality, was arrested in the city of Carabobo, Venezuela, accused of homicide and dismembered Ana María PizarroChilean citizen resident of La Serena, Chile.
The victim disappeared on April 3 after leaving his home to collect a labor settlement and He was seen by entering Medina Slope, his ex -partner, but never left there.
His body was found dismembered on April 18 at a site Eriazo in the city. The investigation suggests that the crime occurred in the context of the conflictive relationship between the twoalthough no specific details have been revealed about the exact reason.
The information was obtained from the Instagram account of the Police of Carabobo, which details that the arrest was achieved thanks to a joint work between the Homicide Brigade of La Serena, the Public Ministry, Interpol and the Venezuelan Police.
The capture took place on Saturday, May 3 at 11:40 p.m. and the PDI delivered more details of the case on Sunday, May 4 at a press conference in La Serena.

A relevant fact in the investigation is that Medina Slope would be linked to another homicide occurred in 2019 in La Serena, that of María José Zambra, whose body was found in a bag under a bridge.
Zambra’s mobile phone chip was reactivated weeks later on a device that was later used by Ana María Pizarro, who declared that the phone was in possession of Medina Slope.
This link suggests a pattern of serious violence and further complicates the situation of the accused
