The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners in Venezuela will begin on Monday, May 5, the Global route for justice With the first visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia to demand the immediate liberation of all political, Colombian and Venezuelan prisoners, as well as conditions worthy of seclusion.
The initiative will congregate mothers, family, friends, human rights defenders, workers and social organizations.
The tour of the first global route will start at 10:00 am And the Creedival Tower, Campo Alegre, in Chacao, has as a meeting point.
Protesters will also claim effective consular protection for Colombian political prisoners in Venezuela and solidarity with the victims of repression.

Political prisoners in Venezuela
A total of 906 people, considered as political prisoners, remain arrested in Venezuela, according to the most recent report released by the NGO Criminal Forum, which accounted for 17 new arrests in addition to an release.
In this count, the NGO indicated the detainees are divided into 815 men and 91 women, of which 901 are adults and 5 are teenagers between 14 and 17 years of age.
According to the organization, 737 of prisoners are civilians and 169 military.
Likewise, Criminal Forum calculates that, from 2014 to date, a total of 18,334 “political arrests” have been carried out in the Caribbean Nation.
The majority of citizens included in this count were arrested after the presidential elections of 2024, in which the National Electoral Council, controlled by Chavismo, proclaimed as a winner Nicolás Maduro, despite the complaints of “fraud” of the majority opposition, which defends the victory of his candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia.
