The most recent femicide that is pointed out to Medina Slope as a material author, occurred approximately April 3, when relatives of Ana María Pizarro, 56, reported their disappearance to the police headquarters of the La Serena commune, Chile.
In this context, the woman left her residence and contacted her daughter to inform her that she was going to have a meeting with her boss to charge her money that they owed her.
However, at night the young woman did not know more about her mother, and days later the telephone line had been cut, reporting the situation and the disappearance of her loved one to the security agencies.
By April 19, the detectives of the Homicide Brigade of the Southern Country, located part of Ana María’s body in a site erred in Cuatro Avenue corner of the city, which are between El Santo Avenue and Route 5 North.
Hours later, the Chilean Investigation Police (PDI), had found human remains belonging to the woman, thus initiating the inquiries to locate the person responsible for committing this vile homicide.
Suspicion against Medina Slope
Pizarro relatives indicated to the detectives that the woman had a relationship with the Venezuelan Medina Slope, but the courtship had ended for a long time, this being the main suspect of this homicide.

The PDI discovered that Medina Slope had been captured by a security chamber at the time he went out with bags while driving a bicycle. He made at least five trips where he is presumed to leave Pizarro’s remains in different areas of the La Serena commune.
Given these suspicions, the man was cited several times by security officials, however he did not appear.
For April 24, the authorities included the name José Alejandro on an international alert of possible escape, but he had already returned to Venezuela after knowing that they were behind him.
The Chilean Investigation Police, the Venezuelan Public Ministry and Interpol collaborated to locate the subject, who had returned to his native Valencia, thinking that they were not going to find it.
However, on May 3, Carabobo Police officials were looking for Medina Slope throughout the city, being arrested on Intercomunal de la Isabelica Avenue at approximately 11:40 pm
On the mobile of this femicide it is presumed that it was for revenge, since the man did not accept the breakdown of the relationship with Pizarro and decided to snatch his life cruelly.
CLARED FEMICIDE OF 2019
The arrest of Medina Slope was key to clarifying the death of María José Zambra, who was also killed and her body dismembered on October 19, 2019.

It was known that supposedly, the subject approached María José, with whom he held relationships and then kill her, in order to settle a debt to another subject.
After the crime, Medina takes Zambra’s cell phone and gives the chip his then partner Ana María Pizarro, without her from knowing her origin.
Months later the woman had to go to the PDI for the use of that number, knowing that she was linked to Zambra’s murder, and without thinking that she would also be killed in the same way six years later.
