Through a resolution published in the Bulletin, the national Government established a New methodology to set the FOB Officials for Export of Agricultural Products.
As part of this new methodology, A “procedure manual” was created detailing the sources and formulas used to calculate these prices with the objective of guaranteeing greater clarity and predictability.

Methodology and procedure
Through resolution 65/2025 published in the official Gazette, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation established a New methodology for the calculation of official FOB prices of the products included in Law 21,453.
According to the aforementioned law, these prices are what They should be taken for the purposes of liquidation of export rights, reimbursements, reimbursements, contributions, fees, services and other taxes that tax or benefit the exports involved. The aforementioned law establishes the setting of value as a tax base for export rights and reintegrates.

With respect to the procedure that will be applied from now on, the aforementioned resolution express that the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy will be responsible for setting the official FOB prices that, according to its article 2, “will be those in force for operations with the closing date of sale specified in the day of its publication”.
According to article 3 of the standard, the prices set “They must be representative of the respective markets And they will be adjusted periodically for business days for both the Argentine market and that of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and when the variations that evidence them indicate so. ”

Also, article 6 clarifies that, In case of not establishing an official FOB price For some merchandise included in Law No. 21,453, The capacity or assessment carried out by the General Directorate of Customs will be taken as taxable basis of the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA).
Adaptation and transparency
In the recitals of the resolution, the need to “adapt to the changes that have occurred in recent times in terms of availability of information and access to various local and international sources that constantly publish price information regarding the main products of agricultural origin ”.
“The new methodology that will be implemented in the FOB Price System will contribute to market transparency providing precise parameters for the fixation and publication of these reference prices, eliminating the discretion granted by the current regulatory framework, ”said the national authorities.
With this new measure, too Resolution 411/2017 will be repealed of the former Ministry of Agroindustry, which ruled so far the FOB price fixation system.
