The former soccer player died in 2020 after being operated on a hematoma
The Argentine Police broke a health clinic in Buenos Aires on Tuesday to confiscate the full medical history of the Diego Maradona football star as part of a trial for his death. The judges determined that the Olivos clinic should be inspected because medical evidence was missing in the official records of the athlete.
-Maradona was operated on a bruise that formed between the skull and the brain and remained hospitalized in intensive care in olive trees between November 4 and 11, 2020. He was then sent to recover to a private house, where he died on November 25 at age 60.
Four doctors, two nurses and a psychologist are accused of simple homicide for having neglected and led to the death of the former soccer player. They are accused of not having attended the symptoms of their patient, who died acute heart failure and acute lung edema. If they were declared guilty, they would face penalties between 8 and 25 years in jail.
