The trade union representatives of the workers of the Vicentin oil company, face at this time an important challenge: fight for the collection of salaries of March, which the firm has already announced that it will not pay, and not to be functional to the employer’s lock out decided last Friday, as a kind of tightening towards justice, which only a few days ago sent four of its top directors to the dungeon. Both Daniel Succi, secretary of the guild in San Lorenzo and his northern pair Leandro Monzón, ask the governor and justice to act soon. Both were gathered yesterday with labor Minister Roald Bascolo and Reconquista Judge Fabián Lorenzini.
“In this meeting we set out to continue working together to find a way out,” says Monzón in dialogue with Radio Nacional Rosario. “A solution to this, because I particularly believe that every time they touch something, they make disaster. We stated that we propose to work hard this week until the salary of the workers appears. We see will in some actors, and I speak of the phasoneros who deliver grains, because Vicentín did not close their plants, the workers are in their positions trying to fulfill,” says Monzón.
“Because Vicentín seems to want to leave his workers without salary, as a form of pressure. So we are not going to give it with pleasure or we are going to put together any quilombo. Because it is what they want: that we leave and make mess with society. That is why we are talking with the workers, to contain everyone. Today our affiliates do not have to buy their food or pay taxes,” Monzón acknowledged.
For his part, the general secretary of the Oil and Employee Unions, Daniel Succi, recalled that the announcement of the lack of payment of wages “fell like a cold water boys who are imprisoned, ”said the union leader.
Succi remarked that the company was working, beyond the situation for the creditors contest. As for labor sources, the unionist said that there are currently between 1300 and 1500 workers within the oil union, but that companies linked to Vicentin are more than 20, reached 4000 workers throughout the province.
“One breaks the coconuts with the governor. I respect the governor who says that we must not get into justice. We agree. But they act brother. They act. They cannot have a file 17 months asleep. But it is not that I want to help Vicentin. That they do what they have to do and that the company that has to come comes because Vicentin was stolen. September 2024 when the auditors were no longer steal again and that is demonstrated, ”said the leader.
Succi held justice responsible for the situation that Vicentin workers are going through. The company announced that it will not be able to pay the salaries and the leader did not hesitate to qualify it as “a bankruptcy declaration.” “They played with the cause and with the workers. Vicentin was a robbery and today there are responsible for that,” said Succi.
The unionist recalled that in September last year, when the intervention ended, the managers resumed the control of the company. Since then, he denounced, “the salaries were stolen” and the money that should be used for the payment of energy, services and salaries were devoted. “We said it at the time, but nobody listened to us,” he said.
He also revealed that last week they held a meeting with the Civil and Commercial Judge No. 2 of Reconquista, Fabián Lorenzini. During the meeting, they requested measures to guarantee the continuity of the fasoneras and avoid the closure of the plants. “No company is going to deliver seeds if it does not have a judicial support that guarantees that Vicentin will continue to function,” he warned.
The panorama, according to Succi, is uncertain. “It is not known where justice is going. It has not made any clear decision. And what the company says today is almost a confession that it cannot more,” he concluded.
